<Inspiration behind the original artwork> Since 2002, I've crafted over 15,000 crystal glass slippers for special occasions like birthdays, weddings, and proposals. However, the COVID-19 pandemic brought about a state of emergency in Japan in March 2020, hindering personal interactions. To address this, I created a virtual photograph of the glass slipper. Thus, the image was originally intended for remote design consultations to create real glass slippers. It serves as the basis for this NFT artwork today. -(^_-)-
Later, it was examined and registered with the Japanese Patent Office as "Images for Information Display," certifying the unique visual representation of the glass slippers. This registration acknowledges its novelty and the difficulty of creation, impossible to achieve with physical glass. The ability to emulate the brain's impression of glass-made realism is a central aspect of this representation. -(^o^)-
Now, after three years of creation and as the world emerges from the impact of COVID-19, I have transformed this glass slipper into NFT artwork, offering a truly exceptional and distinctive gift. Drawing inspiration from the meeting scene where the left and right slippers unite, I incorporated the essence of "Ichigo Ichie," a concept rooted in Japanese culture. Originating from the tea master Sen Rikyu over 400 years ago, this concept endures, suggesting the presence of universal principles shared by people across the globe. Similarly, the tale of Cinderella, woven by Charles Perrault over 300 years ago, has become an iconic story, transcending time. Both narratives imply that destiny is guided by human connections and that fortune arises through human agency. The glass slipper symbolizes serendipitous fortune. -(^/^)-
